FAQs

Metal Recycling questions, answered.

The most common questions UK businesses ask about metal recycling. Need more detail? Talk to our team.

Do you pay for scrap metal?

Yes. Where volumes and grades justify it we offer rebates or buy-back pricing based on current market rates, paid by BACS in line with UK scrap metal regulations.

What types of metal do you recycle?

All ferrous metals (steel, iron) and non-ferrous metals including aluminium, copper, brass, lead, stainless steel and cable.

Do I need to separate metals before collection?

Not necessarily. We can collect mixed scrap and sort at our facility, but separating high-value grades on site usually increases your rebate.

Can you handle large or heavy items?

Yes. We provide skips, RoRo containers, lifting equipment and HIAB collections for plant, structural steel and end-of-life machinery.

Is metal recycling regulated in the UK?

Yes. We operate under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013, verify seller ID, make cashless payments and issue full duty-of-care documentation.

What happens to the metal after collection?

It is graded, processed and sold to UK and European mills for re-melting into new steel, aluminium and copper products.
